C2D vs BBWE | Special Edition House Mix

This special edition mix was recorded for Come to Daddy (C2D) and Brighton Bear Weekender (BBWE), where I was playing on 30 July 2012.

The mix leans a little more towards the commercial side than my usual sets, with a selection of uplifting house tracks designed to capture something for everyone on the dancefloor. Expect a blend of club favourites including classics from Freemasons and Moto Blanco, alongside house remixes of Madonna and Kylie.

It was put together to reflect the atmosphere of the weekend and the kind of music that worked perfectly for the crowd.

If you were there for my set in Brighton, hopefully this mix brings back a few good memories.

Aftershocked | Aftershock Club Mix

Aftershocked is a mix inspired by the set I played in January 2012 at Manchester’s late night club Aftershock.

Known for its underground atmosphere and late night energy, Aftershock was one of Manchester’s go-to after hours parties, bringing together house music lovers who wanted to keep the dancefloor moving well into the early hours.

This mix reflects the kind of sound that worked perfectly in that setting, with driving house tracks, darker beats and high energy club moments.

CHUNKY | Chunky House Mix

A chunky house mix recorded in April 2012.

Packed with driving beats and solid basslines, this mix brings together a selection of house tracks designed to keep the energy high and the dancefloor moving. It reflects the kind of sound I was playing in clubs at the time, big grooves, strong rhythms and plenty of attitude.

Ultra Dirt 12! | The Dirty Dozen

Ultra Dirt 12, The Dirty Dozen, brought the series back with the same darker edge and dirty house sound that listeners had come to expect.

Even after a break, the Ultra Dirt style still felt strong, with its mix of heavier grooves, twisted synths and big club energy. This edition keeps the series feeling fresh while staying true to what made it popular in the first place.

Tonker 2! | Tonker Club Night Mix

Tonker 2 was recorded around the time I played at Tonker at The Eagle in Vauxhall, London on Friday 23 March 2012.

Tonker, created by DJ Tim Jones, was one of the well known nights on the London gay club scene, known for its energetic crowd and strong house music sound. The night regularly attracted DJs and clubbers who were looking for a proper late night dancefloor.

This mix reflects the kind of music that worked perfectly for the Tonker crowd, with driving house tracks and big club energy.

Trance Sessions Vol. 2 | Uplifting Trance Mix

Three years after Trance Sessions Vol. 1, I returned to one of my favourite genres with Trance Sessions Vol. 2.

Although I'm best known for uplifting house, funky house and vocal house, trance has always been a style of music I've enjoyed listening to and mixing. This set continues that journey, bringing together uplifting melodies, powerful breakdowns and driving beats inspired by the sound that was filling clubs and festivals in 2011.

Like the first volume, this wasn't recorded for a club night or live event. It was simply an opportunity to step away from my usual house sets and enjoy mixing another genre that has always been close to my heart.

If you enjoyed Trance Sessions Vol. 1, I hope you'll enjoy this second instalment just as much.

C2D vs Northern Pride | Special Edition House Mix

This mix was recorded around the time I played at Northern Pride in Newcastle for the Come to Daddy (C2D) event on Saturday 16 July 2011.

Northern Pride is one of the largest LGBT festivals in the North East of England, bringing together thousands of people each year for a weekend of celebrations, music and community events across the city.

This mix was put together to capture the kind of music that worked perfectly for a Pride crowd, uplifting house tracks, big vocals and plenty of dancefloor energy.

Heroes | Charity House Mix

This mix was recorded to help support a 26 mile charity walk I completed in June 2011 to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Help for Heroes is a UK charity that supports wounded veterans and serving members of the British Armed Forces. The cause was particularly meaningful to me, as I grew up on RAF bases and my Dad, Mum and Brother all served in the Royal Air Force.

The mix was originally shared to help raise awareness and support for the walk, bringing together a selection of uplifting house tracks to keep the energy high.

V2 Part Deux | Via Fossa Canal Street Mix

The second instalment of the V2 mix series, inspired by the sets I used to play downstairs at Via Fossa on Canal Street in Manchester.

Named after the V2 bar area within the venue, this mix continues the same sound that worked so well in that room, chunky house with dirty and progressive elements designed for a lively Village dancefloor.
