Aftershocked 2 is a mix inspired by the set I played on 22 December 2012 at Manchester’s late night club Aftershock.

Aftershock is known for its underground energy and a crowd that wanted to keep the party going long after the main clubs had closed. Held in the basement surroundings of SUB101, it attracted house music lovers looking for a tougher, late night sound and a proper after hours atmosphere.

For those who missed it, here is my Gaydar Radio Club Nation mix that originally aired on Friday 12 October 2012.

Gaydar Radio was one of the most well known stations within the UK LGBT community, broadcasting dance music, club shows and DJ mixes to listeners across the UK and beyond. It played an important role in promoting DJs, events and club culture connected to the gay scene.

This mix was featured on the Club Nation show, bringing together a selection of house tracks similar to what I was playing in clubs at the time.

This special edition mix was recorded for Come to Daddy (C2D) and Brighton Bear Weekender (BBWE), where I was playing on 30 July 2012.

The mix leans a little more towards the commercial side than my usual sets, with a selection of uplifting house tracks designed to capture something for everyone on the dancefloor. Expect a blend of club favourites including classics from Freemasons and Moto Blanco, alongside house remixes of Madonna and Kylie.

It was put together to reflect the atmosphere of the weekend and the kind of music that worked perfectly for the crowd.
